Here’s your Opus 4 team when they were younger. None of us can honestly say we wanted to do fit-outs and refurbishments when we grew up.
But when we realised we couldn’t be astronauts, princesses, pop stars and fighter pilots, we met each other and began to see we had a natural talent for creating great places for people to work.
We’re all very close, we know what makes each other tick and we love working together. We think that comes across in the work we produce and to the customers who become our friends.
Daniel is the MD and driving force behind Opus 4. He’s passionate about all aspects of the business, but above all else, he’s focused on giving a great service to his clients.
He loves Formula One, has a penchant for nice watches and has recently become addicted to the Crime & Investigation Channel on TV! Daniel is something of a local hero, after making the papers when he dived into an ice cold lake to save a drowning dog!
The Man Who Shouts About Opus 4
Andrew is our Marketing Director . He’s responsible for making sure Opus 4 gets noticed in both the real and online worlds. As well as new business, it’s also Andrew’s job to make sure all our regular customers feel loved and wanted.
Poet, philanthropist, rock star, striker, skateboarder, astronaut….Andrew is none of these things, but definitely a dreamer.
Loves It When A Plan Comes Together
Dave is our Operations Director – the man with the plan. He ensures each project we undertake is correctly priced and runs like clockwork. He directs each project with the same maxim, by only handing over a workspace that he himself would be proud to work in.
Outside work, Dave is an avid Manchester United fan. At the wrong side of 40, and last kicking a ball in anger as a teenager, he still believes there’s a chance of making it as a United midfield playmaker. He’s also a keen runner and competed in the Great Manchester Run. He is yet to cross the finish line.
The Man Who Excels In Excel
Ian is our new FD. We are proud to say that Ian used to work for one of our clients and liked us so much, he decided to join the team!
It's no disservice to say Ian is something of a numbers geek. He's an expert on Excel, and has a knack of making the complicated seem easy.
Ian likes spending time with his family and has a strong passion for athletics, working as a judge in field events and supporting his children.
Our Non-Executive Director John, is a highly experienced board level Director and CEO who has worked in a wide range of business sectors. He brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership and mentoring to the team and has helped shape the direction and strategy for the business.
On account of the wisdom he imparts, John is affectionately known as Yoda, but with marginally less wrinkles! Outside of work, John likes sailing, motorsport and coastal walks with his dogs
Makes Space Great
Sarah heads up our talented design team. Bursting with creativity and ideas, she works to wow our customers with great, functional designs and is recognised as one of the leading designers in the north west’s interiors industry.
Sarah’s ‘bottom drawer’ has a mythical status at the Bank Building. Bristling with crisps, chocolates and sweets, Sarah has been known to wolf down five bags of crisps in one day!
Makes It All Add Up
Denise is affectionately referred to as ‘the rottweiler’. This is on account of her tenacious ability to chase outstanding invoices and balance the Opus 4 books. Denise is the most animated member of the Opus 4 team and ensures there’s never a dull moment. She is often found breaking into a duet with Andrew or treating us to her acting skills. She recently fulfilled a burning ambition to ‘tread the boards’, making her debut in a local pantomime as you guessed it, a wicked witch.
Free Hugs For All Clients
Chris is our After Care Manager. When your project comes to an end, we don’t say goodbye. Chris is on hand to help you settle into your new home and deal with any unsuspecting issues that arise.
Chris is just as caring at home too. He’s a devoted husband and father. Although it’s wrong for dads to have a favourite child, Chris does. His ‘baby’ is his 1984 MkII Golf GTI which he’s lovingly restored.
Paula is the lady who makes the office tick. Although she doesn’t look old enough, Paula has been at Opus 4 from the start and it’s her brain that we pick with questions the rest of us have forgotten the answers to.
An avid pub quizzer, this is a girl who likes a pint too! As you can see Paula is a twin, but even she doesn’t know which one she is on this photo, which was taken on the film set of The Shining.
Service With A Smile
Tammy joined Opus 4 at the start of 2018 and in a few short months, has been promoted to our busy Contracts Team. She is bubbly, bright and does everything with a smile on her face and a positive attitude.
Back in the day, Tammy was something of a club chick, dancing on podiums with her hands in the air. As the years roll by, if Tammy tried to balance on a podium now, in her stiletto heels, with a prosecco in her hand, her night could end up in A&E.
A Design Obsessive
Alison has progressed with the business to become one of our key senior designers. Alison’s flair, attention to detail and dedication to the customer are her key strengths.
Alison has some very peculiar eating habits where dry food and sauces can never be mixed. This has caused great amusement at the Opus 4 monthly takeaway nights!
I'll Be Ready - Never You Fear
Andy joins Opus 4 as our new Health & Safety Manager. No two people within the business can pronounce his surname the same way, so he’s affectionately been nicknamed ‘The Hoss’ in honour of his idol, David Hasselhoff. Andy served in the armed forces, stationed in Afhanistan, before forging a career in health and safety. He joins us from Warburtons Bakery.
When he isn’t watching Baywatch re-runs or joining his fellow compatriot, Emma, in singing old, Ukranian folk songs, Andy likes to take his young son to watch Man City.
The Devil's In Her Detail
Monika is our Furniture Administrator. She is a dedicated and conscientious person who takes pride in her work and is gradually falling in love with poseur height tables, high back acoustic sofas, and trendy coffee tables.
Monika loves spending time with her daughter and has developed a bad habit of binge-watching US dramas – Mad Men and Game of Thrones being her favourites.
Here She Comes To Save The Day
Emma is one of our creative sparks in the design team. She’s known to her close friends as ‘The Mouse’, but nobody seems to know why. Although she has been known to squeak if she has too much vodka.
By a strange coincidence, Emma was interviewed on and started on the same day as our H&S Manager, Andy, where it emerged both are part-Ukranian.
This prompted a Ukranian folk sing-song and a celebratory Ukranian brandy! Away from work, Emma loves the great outdoors and is a keen photographer.
Bringing Charm and Finesse To Sales
Nicolas is our Workplace Solutions Consultant.
A proud Parisian, Nicolas moved to the UK two years ago to bring his gallic charm and flair to the UK design and fit-out industry. He ran several successful businesses in Paris and was the chairman of a branch in the French Builders Federation.
Nicolas is our international man of mystery. Like any suave and debonair Frenchman, he has a passion for good food, and great wine and loves spending time with his young family.
Cheryl is one of our Senior Designers.
She's full of positivity and good vibrations and lifts everyone she meets.
Not only is her bubbly personality infectious, it finds its way into her brilliant designs too. Nothing makes Cheryl happier than creating amazing spaces for our clients.
Away from work, Cheryl loves spending time with her family. She recently went on a volunteering mission to Africa with her daughter.
The Power To Uplift Our Clients
Dean is one of our excellent Project Managers. Highly organised and disciplined, he ensures all of his projects run smoothly and to plan.
Dean is a strength athlete and trainer, and competes at international level in powerlifting, strongman and stone lifting contests. Dean is big on Opus 4's family-focused culture, but thus far, nobody has accepted his challenge to an arm-wrestling competition!
