An agile workplace environment is all about creating a space where employees have the freedom and flexibility to work in different areas of an office when and how they choose.

Rather than having to sit at an assigned desk or workstation, employees will be able to move around depending on their mood and what type of work they are carrying out.

Benefits of an agile workspace:

  • Collaboration – An agile workspace will encourage more collaboration and more creative ideas. With an agile design, the workforce will have a variety of collaborative spaces to work from that inspires them and in-turn this will help them produce high-quality work.
  • Productivity – An agile space will contribute to a happy workplace culture, which will likely translate into the employee’s work. If an employee is happy in their workplace, they are likely to feel more motivated to be productive.
  • Positive employee experience – A carefully considered and innovative agile office design will undoubtedly make work a pleasant place to be. With unique seating and an imaginative layout, the office will become somewhere employees truly enjoy being.

How to successfully implement an agile working environment

At Opus 4 we have an acute understanding of how to translate business requirements and wishes into reality, with employees at the heart.

Before getting in touch with an office fit out company, consult with your employees on what they would like to see from an agile design – or we can do this on your behalf! This way you know the workspace will truly accommodate the needs of the employees.

This is why it’s important to communicate with the entire workforce before making any big decisions. However, there is no reason why assigned desks can’t stay as part of the new agile design.

Here are some examples of unique agile working environments we have completed.
